Agate is a banded variety of chalcedony from the quartz group (SiO₂, Mohs hardness 6.5–7). The characteristic banding is created by rhythmic layer growth with various mineral inclusions. The vibrant yellow color is produced by dyeing – a traditional and widespread practice for agate. The faceted cut enhances the natural luster and makes the beads sparkle vividly with every movement.
