Amazonite, which ranges in color from light blue and greenish to vibrant turquoise, belongs to the group of potassium feldspars. It was named by Alexander von Humboldt, who called it the "stone of Amazonia." The main deposits of amazonite are located in Brazil.
In literature on healing stones, amazonite is attributed with strong tension-relieving, invigorating, and intuition-enhancing effects. It is considered an uplifting and serenity-promoting companion in cases of emotional distress, blockages, stress and burnout, grief, and inner restlessness.
According to literature, it is physically associated with the brain and the autonomic nervous system and is said to regulate metabolic disorders.
