Light blue, greenish to deep turquoise amazonite belongs to the potassium feldspar group. It was named after Alexander von Humboldt, who called it the "Amazon Stone." Amazonite is primarily found in Brazil.

In healing stone literature, amazonite is said to have powerful tension-relieving, invigorating, and intuition-strengthening effects. It is considered an uplifting and serene companion for emotional distress, blockages, stress and burnout, grief, and inner turmoil.

According to the literature, it is physically associated with the brain and the autonomic nervous system and is said to regulate metabolic disorders.
