This gemstone necklace combines faceted tumbled beads of citrine (approx. 10×13 mm) and smoky quartz (approx. 18×12 mm) into an expressive necklace. The radiant yellow-orange of the citrine and the warm smoky brown of the smoky quartz create an earthy, sunny color combination. Citrine belongs to the quartz family (SiO₂, Mohs hardness 7); its color is created by iron inclusions in the crystal lattice. Natural citrine is rare. Smoky quartz is a brown to smoky gray crystalline quartz (SiO₂, Mohs hardness 7); its color is created by natural radioactive irradiation deep within the earth. Citrine deposits: Brazil, Madagascar, Spain, USA. Smoky quartz deposits: Brazil, Swiss Alps, Madagascar, Scotland.

Significance in crystal healing

In crystal healing, citrine is considered a stone of joy and energy, attributed with lightness and a positive aura (solar plexus chakra). Smoky quartz is considered a classic protective stone, said to provide grounding, strength, and support during difficult phases of life (root chakra). These attributions are based on tradition and are not scientifically proven. They do not replace medical treatment.
