Amethyst quartz bracelet 20 mm

Amethyst is a violet variety of quartz (SiO₂) with a Mohs hardness of 7. Its characteristic violet color is caused by iron inclusions in the crystal lattice. Most amethysts used for jewelry production come from Brazil, where impressively large amethyst geodes form in the cavities of volcanic rocks.
