Amethyst Quartz is a natural intergrowth of violet amethyst and white quartz. The characteristic stripes and zones are created by alternating growth phases in the crystal lattice – each bead shows a unique pattern. The fine faceted cut of the large 16mm beads particularly impressively highlights this interplay of violet and white.

Mineralogically, Amethyst Quartz belongs to the group of crystalline quartz. The violet coloration is caused by iron inclusions. Significant deposits are found in Brazil, Uruguay, Namibia, and Zambia.

Significance in Crystal Healing

In crystal healing, Amethyst Quartz is attributed a clarifying and harmonizing effect. It is said to combine the properties of amethyst and rock crystal, acting both calming and energizing.
