The apatite, named after the Greek. Apatao , "to deceive," is a stone that was and still is easily confused with other minerals. Calcium phosphate, found worldwide, exhibits a wide variety of colors, from colorless to brown, yellow, blue, and green, and rarely pink and violet. A yellowish-green variety is also called asparagus stone.
