Aquamarine, 2mm faceted bead strand

Aquamarine (Latin for "water of the sea") got its name from its color, which ranges from delicate light blue to aquamarine blue and dark green-blue. The element that gives this blue member of the beryl group its color is iron.

The most important aquamarine deposits are located in Brazil (Minas Gerais). Other deposits are found in Afghanistan, Russia, China, and Africa.

Aquamarine represents vision and foresight; it promotes endurance, discipline, lightness, and serenity. Aquamarine clarifies confusion and encourages the completion of unfinished business. According to literature, aquamarine supports allergies, hay fever, and eye, respiratory, thyroid, and bladder problems.
