Aquamarine is presented in this gemstone necklace as a finely faceted 3 mm bead chain in delicate light blue to fresh aquamarine blue. The faceted surface refracts the light in many ways, giving the clear blue a vibrant, almost water-like depth. Aquamarine is the light blue to blue-green variety of the mineral beryl (Be₃Al₂Si₆O₁₈) with a Mohs hardness of 7.5–8. Its color is caused by traces of iron in the crystal lattice.
