Chrysoprase is a green chalcedony, whose name is derived from the Greek words chrysos (gold) and prason (leek). Its characteristic apple-green color is caused by nickel inclusions. The ancient Egyptians considered it a protective and healing stone. Hildegard von Bingen also mentioned its effects in her writings. The AA quality impresses with particularly uniform color and high transparency.
