Chalcedony is a microcrystalline quartz with a silky luster and a characteristic, delicate light blue coloration. It was probably named after the ancient city of Chalcedon on the Bosphorus (today Kadıköy, Turkey). In its banded form, it is also called chalcedony agate. The 6 mm beads impress with their calm, uniform color and are ideal for classic necklaces and bracelets.
