Chrysoprase bead bracelet, 4 mm, faceted

Chrysoprase is one of the most valuable varieties of chalcedony (SiO₂, microcrystalline) with a Mohs hardness of 6.5–7. Its characteristic apple-green to emerald-green color is caused by nickel inclusions. The name is derived from the Greek: "chrysós" (gold) and "práson" (leek). Even in antiquity, chrysoprase was considered a symbol of hope and renewal. The faceted cut makes the 4 mm beads sparkle in any light. The knot is concealed under a silver bead. Major deposits: Australia, Poland, Brazil, Tanzania.
