The stones

Chrome diopside is a pyroxene mineral (CaMgSi₂O₆) with chromium inclusions, Mohs hardness 5.5–6.5. Its intense green coloration is caused by chromium ions in the crystal lattice. Major sources: Russia (Siberia), Pakistan, India.
Aquamarine is a blue variety of beryl (Be₃Al₂Si₆O₁₈), Mohs hardness 7.5–8. The blue coloration is caused by iron deposits. Major sources: Brazil, Afghanistan, Russia.
