Green Garnet belongs to the grossular group of garnets and occurs in various varieties – including the luminous green Tsavorite and the yellowish-green Hessonite. The intense green coloration is caused by inclusions of vanadium or chromium. Garnets crystallize in the cubic system and are known for their high refractive index, which is particularly impressive in faceted stones. The fine 2 mm balls with their faceting sparkle intensely despite their small size.
