Orange Garnet (Hessonite) bead bracelet, 5 mm, faceted

Hessonite is an orange to honey-brown variety of grossular garnet (Ca₃Al₂Si₃O₁₂), with a Mohs hardness of 6.5–7. Its warm color is caused by iron and manganese inclusions. Unlike the classic red carbuncle (almandine/pyrope), hessonite displays warm honey tones reminiscent of sunlight and autumn warmth. The faceted cut of the 5 mm beads particularly enhances its luminous color. Significant deposits: Sri Lanka, India, Canada, Madagascar.
