Howlite bead bracelet 4 mm

Howlite is a calcium borosilicate hydroxide mineral (Ca₂B₅SiO₉(OH)₅) with a Mohs hardness of only 3.5. Its characteristic white color with gray to black veining (calcite veins) is reminiscent of fine marble. Howlite is frequently confused with magnesite – both display similar patterns but are mineralogically distinct. Due to its soft structure, howlite is also often dyed (e.g., as a turquoise imitation).
