Goldstone is not a natural stone, but a synthetically produced art glass (Venetian tradition, Murano, 17th century). Brown goldstone is the classic and original variety: copper filings crystallize as the glass cools, creating the characteristic golden sparkle against a warm, honey-brown to copper-colored background. The 4 mm beads show this glitter in its purest form. The knot is concealed under a silver bead. Production: mainly Italy and China.
