Lapis Lazuli is mineralogically a metamorphic rock – a rock mixture of lazurite ((Na,Ca)₈(AlSiO₄)₆(S,SO₄,Cl)₁₂, blue), pyrite (FeS₂, golden inclusions), and calcite (CaCO₃, white veins), Mohs hardness 5–6. The chip shape (8–10 mm, irregularly shaped) shows the stone in its most authentic, natural form – each piece is a small work of art by nature. The deep royal blue with golden pyrite inclusions is showcased in a particularly untamed way in the chip form. Significant mining locations: Afghanistan (Badakhshan, mined for over 6,000 years), Chile, Russia, Pakistan.

Significance in crystal healing

Lapis Lazuli is considered a stone of wisdom, truth, and spiritual enlightenment.
