Mineralogy & History
All four stones in this necklace belong to the quartz family – one of the most common and versatile minerals in the Earth's crust. Their different colors are created by various trace elements and lattice defects in the crystal:
Amethyst gets its violet color from iron ions and natural irradiation deep within the earth. It is one of the oldest gemstones in human history and was as valuable as rubies or sapphires in ancient times.
Rose Quartz owes its delicate pink color to tiny inclusions of dumortierite or rutile fibers. It is one of the most well-known healing stones worldwide and has been valued for millennia in cultures from Egypt to East Asia as a symbol of love and gentleness.
Rock Crystal is pure, colorless quartz without foreign inclusions. In many cultures, it was considered petrified ice or a mirror of the soul – its name is derived from the Greek krystallos (ice).
Citrine gets its yellow to orange hue from traces of iron. Natural citrine is rare; many commercially available pieces are heat-treated amethyst. The stones in this necklace come from careful selection.
Meaning in Crystal Healing
The four stones in this necklace are each assigned to specific areas of effect in crystal healing, but also complement each other as an ensemble:
Amethyst is considered a stone of inner peace and clarity. It is said to calm the mind, interrupt circular thoughts, and be supportive in cases of overwhelm or sleep problems. Associated with the brow and crown chakras, it is often used in meditation.
Rose Quartz is described as the stone of the heart. It is said to promote self-love, compassion, and emotional healing – both in dealing with oneself and in relationships. Associated with the heart chakra, it is considered a gentle companion during emotionally stressful phases.
Rock Crystal is described as a universal amplifier, intended to enhance the effect of other stones. It is considered clarifying on all levels – mental, emotional, and energetic – and is associated with the crown chakra.
Citrine is associated with joy, self-confidence, and inner strength in crystal healing. It is said to promote drive and motivation and is assigned to the solar plexus chakra. Traditionally, it is also considered a stone of prosperity and positive energy.
Note: The described effects are derived from the tradition of crystal healing and are not scientifically proven statements. Gemstones are not a substitute for medical or therapeutic treatment.
General Information
All stones used are natural products – slight color differences and individual inclusions are signs of their authenticity. For care, a soft, dry cloth is sufficient. Please store separately from other jewelry to avoid scratches. Citrine and amethyst can fade with prolonged direct sunlight – therefore, apply perfume and creams before putting on the jewelry.
