Moonstone bracelet button 5 mm

Moonstone is mineralogically an alkali feldspar (orthoclase-albite solid solution, (K,Na)AlSi₃O₈), Mohs hardness 6–6.5, monoclinic crystal system. Its unmistakable feature is adularescence – a soft, milky shimmer created by light refraction on the finest, parallel-aligned feldspar layers in the crystal, reminiscent of moonlight. The name "adularescence" comes from the Adula Alps (Switzerland), where particularly beautiful moonstones were found. The flat button shape (5 mm) displays this play of light particularly elegantly. The knot is concealed under a silver bead. Locations: Sri Lanka, India, Madagascar, Myanmar, Tanzania.

Moonstone is considered a protective and lucky stone for women, closely linked to female cycles and intuition.
