Moonstone belongs to the feldspar group and is closely related to labradorite. Its characteristic feature is the so-called adularescence – a soft, blue to whitish shimmering light that seems to glide over the surface when the stone is turned. Moonstone was already revered in antiquity as the stone of the moon and the goddess, and in many cultures, it was considered a protective stone for travelers. The fine 3mm beads with their facets sparkle vibrantly despite their delicate size – ideal as spacer beads or for particularly delicate, elegant jewelry creations with the typical moonlight shimmer.
