Moonstone necklace teardrop faceted dark grey - 925 silver

Moonstone combines dark grey tones with the play of light from faceted drops in this necklace. It appears elegant and almost a little mystical. The moonstone necklace is approx. 42 cm long and is fastened with a 925 sterling silver lobster clasp.

Moonstone is a variety of alkali feldspar (orthoclase/adularia) with the chemical composition KAlSi₃O₈. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system and has a Mohs hardness of 6–6.5. Characteristic of moonstone is adularescence, a shimmer caused by light refraction from thin layers of feldspar within the mineral.
