Moonstone necklace teardrop faceted orange - 925 silver

Moonstone is a variety of alkali feldspar (orthoclase/adularia) with the chemical composition KAlSi₃O₈. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system and has a Mohs hardness of 6–6.5. Characteristic of moonstone is adularescence, a shimmer caused by the refraction of light off thin layers of feldspar inside the mineral.
