Moss Agate was named for its characteristic, moss-like green inclusions, which appear like tiny landscapes or plant motifs within the stone. Mineralogically, it is a chalcedony – a microcrystalline quartz variety – whose green colour is caused by chlorite or hornblende inclusions. No two stones show the same pattern, which makes each strand unique. The 8mm spheres showcase the green inclusions particularly well – ideal for expressive necklaces, bracelet beads, and mala necklaces.
