These mother-of-pearl earrings are feather-light and comfortable to wear! You can wear these mother-of-pearl ear pieces directly with, for example, a hoop earring, or combine them with stud or drop earrings.

What is mother-of-pearl?

Mother-of-pearl is the mother of the pearl, the inner lining of the mollusk. Depending on the type and color of the mollusk, mother-of-pearl can vary greatly in appearance. South Sea mollusks are white, Tahitian mollusks are gray, and abalone shimmer in shades of blue and violet. The characteristic feature, of course, is always its pearly iridescence.

Dyeing and processing:

Our mother-of-pearl earrings are partially dyed. The dyeing process is carried out by a specialized company in Austria. Dyeing mother-of-pearl is a very complex process, as absolute colorfastness must be achieved while preserving the pearl's characteristic shimmer.

Handmade and unique:

Each piece is handmade. Mother-of-pearl is a natural material, therefore slight variations in shape and color may occur between the pieces.
