Shungite – the name is derived from the Russian village of Shunga in Karelia, where the mineral has been known for centuries. The stone captivates with its deep black, slightly metallic shimmering surface, which feels pleasant on the skin when worn. These earrings combine the natural character of the stone with a simple silver setting – light, wearable, and unique in shape and grain as individual pieces.

Shungite is a Precambrian rock with a high carbon content and occurs exclusively in the Russian Republic of Karelia, especially around Lake Onega near the village of Shunga. The characteristic black color is due to this exceptionally high carbon content.

Meaning in crystal healing

In crystal healing, shungite is considered a powerful protective and grounding stone. It is said to help strengthen the energy field, buffer stress, and promote inner balance. Worn as jewelry, it is supposed to accompany and ground its wearer – a silent companion in everyday life. Traditionally, it is associated with the root chakra.

General information

As a natural product, each pair has individual inclusions, grain patterns, and slight color variations – this is not a defect but an expression of its authenticity.
