Peridot – its characteristic olive green is unique in nature, as it is one of the few gemstones that occurs in only one color. Hildegard von Bingen already described it in her writings as having fever-reducing and detoxifying properties. Peridot is formed deep within the Earth's mantle and is brought to the surface by volcanic activity – it is one of the oldest known gemstones. The faceting of this pendant brings out its warm green color particularly well. Set in 925 sterling silver.
