Bamboo Coral Red Bead Bracelet 4 mm

Bamboo corals are organic gemstones formed from the calcium skeletons of coral polyps. Their Mohs hardness is 3–4. Unlike many other coral species, bamboo corals are not protected and are therefore a sustainable alternative to protected red precious and branch corals. Naturally, bamboo corals are beige to gray in color – the vibrant red shades are achieved through traditional dyeing, which replicates the color of protected red corals. The coloration is stable and long-lasting. Locations: Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, Mediterranean Sea.
