Lepidolite is a mica mineral (phyllosilicate) with the chemical composition K(Li,Al)₃(Si,Al)₄O₁₀(F,OH)₂, a Mohs hardness of 2.5–4, and a monoclinic crystal system. The name is derived from the Greek "lepis" (scale) – its scaly, leafy structure is typical. The stone owes its characteristic violet to pink color to its high lithium content – lepidolite is an important source of lithium. The silvery mica shimmer is created by the typical mica platelets that reflect light. Significant deposits: Brazil, Madagascar, Afghanistan, Russia, USA.

Significance in crystal healing

Lepidolite is considered a stone of serenity, emotional balance, and inner peace. It is said to alleviate stress and anxiety, promote concentration, support boundaries against external influences, and encourage restful sleep. It is attributed to the heart and crown chakras.
