Smoky quartz is a brown to smoky grey crystalline quartz, whose characteristic coloration is created by natural radioactive radiation deep within the earth – this alters aluminum traces in the crystal lattice. Particularly dark colored specimens are also referred to as morion. The polished 12mm spheres showcase the warm, earthy brown of the stone in an impressive size and add a striking, natural accent to any necklace or bracelet.
