Kalahari Jasper is a variety of Jasper from the Kalahari region in Southern Africa – one of the Earth's oldest and most geologically fascinating landscapes. Its characteristic pattern of earthy brown, beige, and red tones reflects the colors of the African savannah. Jasper belongs to the chalcedony group and obtains its diverse colorations from mineral admixtures of up to 20%. It is an opaque, fine-grained quartz that has been valued as an ornamental and protective stone since ancient times.
Origin: Kalahari region, Southern Africa (Botswana, Namibia, South Africa).
Meaning in crystal healing
In crystal healing, Kalahari Jasper is considered a stone of earth connection, stability, and inner balance. It is said to impart a grounding energy that provides support and security – even in turbulent times. It is also associated with animal love and a deep connection with nature. These attributions are based on traditional beliefs and are not scientifically proven. They do not replace medical treatment.
