Sapphire-Ruby beaded bracelet 4 mm faceted

Sapphire and ruby are both mineralogical varieties of corundum (Al₂O₃), Mohs hardness 9 – the difference lies solely in the color: red corundum = ruby (chromium coloring), all other colors = sapphire (titanium/iron coloring). In this bracelet, the faceted 4 mm beads alternate between the deep royal blue of the sapphire and the fiery red of the ruby – a combination that has been considered a symbol of wisdom and passion for centuries. High-quality rubies can be more expensive than diamonds of the same size. The knot is concealed under a silver bead. Sapphire locations: Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Kashmir.
