Sapphire bead bracelet, 4 mm faceted

Mineralogically, sapphire is a blue variety of corundum (Al₂O₃), with a Mohs hardness of 9 – the second hardest natural mineral after diamond. The sapphire owes its characteristic royal blue to traces of titanium and iron; the color ranges from delicate cornflower blue to deep midnight blue. In addition to the classic blue, sapphires also come in pink, yellow, orange, and colorless (leucosapphire) – all colors of corundum are called sapphire except for red (which is ruby). Hildegard of Bingen already valued the cornflower blue sapphire as a healing stone. The faceted cut of the 4 mm beads enhances their natural brilliance; the knot is concealed beneath a silver bead. Significance in healing crystal lore

Sapphire is considered a stone of clarity, wisdom, and inner peace. It is said to strengthen the nervous system, promote concentration and focus, and symbolize truth and loyalty. It is purportedly associated with the throat and brow chakras (third eye). These attributions are based on long-standing tradition and are not scientifically proven.
