Snowflake Obsidian beaded bracelet 4 mm faceted

Snowflake obsidian is mineralogically a volcanic glass (amorphous, not a crystal) that is formed by the rapid cooling of lava. The characteristic white-gray inclusions consist of cristobalite (a high-temperature phase of SiO₂), which are formed during slow devitrification and give the stone its namesake snowflake pattern. Mohs hardness approx. 5–5.5. Locations: USA, Mexico, Iceland, Scotland. The faceted cut of the 4 mm beads emphasizes the contrast between the black glass and the white inclusions.

Significance in crystal healing

Snowflake obsidian is considered a stone of transformation and inner balance. It is said to help in overcoming fears, emotional blockages, and old patterns, to promote inner strength and self-acceptance, and to open up new perspectives.
