Black Sapphire Pendant

The name of this gemstone is derived from the Greek “sappheiros” for “blue” and includes not only the blue corundum variety but also all other colors except red (ruby) as well as the black sapphire.

Hildegard von Bingen already used and described the effect of sapphire on nerves and as a healing stone for possession.
According to healing stone literature, the blue sapphire strengthens the nerves, is calming, and provides inner clarity. The black sapphire is considered a powerful protective stone against black magic and sorcery.
