Sodalite-Amazonite Bead Bracelet 5 mm

This bracelet combines two mineralogically related feldspar minerals: Sodalite (Na₈Al₆Si₆O₂₄Cl₂, Mohs hardness 5.5–6, deep royal blue due to sulfur compounds) and Amazonite (KAlSi₃O₈, Mohs hardness 6–6.5, fresh turquoise green due to traces of lead and water). Sodalite was discovered in Greenland in 1811 and named after its high sodium content ("salt stone"). Amazonite received its name from Alexander von Humboldt ("stone from the Amazon") – Amazonite jewelry pieces were already found in the tomb of Tutankhamun. The 5 mm beads alternate between deep blue and turquoise green; a rhodium-plated silver bead accent conceals the knot. Length approx. 18 cm.

Sodalite is considered the stone of the third eye, clarity, and logical thinking; Amazonite is seen as a stone of serenity, tension relief, and intuition.
