Rainbow Fluorite is the multi-colored variety of fluorite and one of the most vibrant forms of this mineral. The typical combination of green and purple – less commonly blue or yellow – arises from different trace elements and radiation influences in various growth zones of the crystal. Fluorite is one of the minerals with the greatest color diversity and crystallizes in the cubic system with characteristic octahedral cleavage.
