Sunstone belongs, mineralogically, to the feldspar group, just like moonstone and labradorite. Its characteristic golden shimmer—known as aventurescence—is created by microscopically fine hematite or goethite inclusions within the crystal that reflect light. The oval beads (13 x 18 mm) provide a generous surface area for this warm light effect—expressive and elegant for statement necklaces and individual designer jewelry.
