Peridot necklace 2 mm faceted - 925 silver

In this gemstone necklace, peridot is presented as a finely faceted 2 mm bead strand in shades ranging from fresh olive green to vibrant yellow-green. The exceptionally small gemstone beads give the necklace a delicate, almost floating elegance – like a thread of green light. The peridot's characteristic vitreous luster is particularly enhanced by the faceting. Peridot is the gemstone variety of the mineral olivine ((Mg,Fe)₂SiO₄) from the neosilicate group. Its olive-green color is caused by the iron content in the crystal lattice – the more iron, the more intense the green. Mohs hardness: 6.5–7, orthorhombic crystal system.
