Tiger's eye owes its name to its resemblance to a tiger's eye – the characteristic silky band of light (chatoyancy) is created by fine, parallel fiber structures in the quartz, which resulted from the transformation of blue crocidolite. Tiger's eye also exists in blue (hawk's eye) and red (red tiger's eye). The oval beads with holes (15 x 22 mm, inner hole approx. 7 x 12 mm) are excellent for necklaces with a pendant character and creative jewelry combinations.
