Turquoise has been one of the world's most sought-after gemstones since antiquity – its name is derived from the characteristic color created by copper inclusions. In addition to the classic turquoise blue, there are also apple-green varieties. Turquoise is a relatively soft mineral and is frequently stabilized. The organically rounded tumble beads (approx. 5 x 6 mm) vary slightly in shape and size – each one is unique – and display the natural veining and color variety of African turquoise in a particularly authentic way.
