Tourmaline multi bead bracelet 3 mm faceted

Mineralogically, tourmaline is a borosilicate with a complex composition ((Na,Ca)(Li,Mg,Al)(Al,Fe,Mn)₆(Si₆O₁₈)(BO₃)₃(OH,F)₄), with a Mohs hardness of 7–7.5. The name is derived from the Sinhalese word "toramali" ("mixed gemstones") – fitting, as tourmaline is found in nearly every color of the rainbow. The colors are created by various trace elements: iron for black (schorl), manganese for pink/red (rubellite), chromium/vanadium for green (verdelite), and iron/manganese for yellow/brown (dravite). Special feature: tourmaline is piezoelectric and pyroelectric. The highly coveted Paraiba tourmaline (blue-turquoise, copper-colored) is one of the most valuable gemstones in the world.
