Here's how to use your mandarin oil:
In the diffuser: Add 4-6 drops to your diffuser to create a cheerful, calming atmosphere – perfect for children's rooms, living rooms or to combat the afternoon slump.
For children: Dilute 1-2 drops with a carrier oil (e.g. V-6™ or almond oil) and gently massage the mixture onto the soles of the feet, stomach or back – ideal for calming nervousness, restlessness or before bedtime.
Skincare: Dilute 2-3 drops with a carrier oil and apply the mixture to your face or body. Mandarin is particularly gentle and soothing for sensitive skin.
Aromatherapy: Inhale directly from the bottle or place 1-2 drops on a tissue for quick mood improvement, calming and positive energy.
Internal use: Place 1-2 drops into an empty capsule and take it with water, or add 1 drop to a glass of water or smoothie. Mandarin supports general well-being from within.
Massage: Dilute with a carrier oil and gently massage the mixture onto the stomach, back or soles of the feet – ideal for a relaxing, soothing massage for the whole family.
Application tips:
- For children: Highly diluted (1 drop to 1 tablespoon of carrier oil) for gentle calming.
- For nervousness: Apply in a diffuser or diluted to the soles of the feet.
- For a good mood: Diffuse for a mood-boosting effect.
- For sleep problems: Diffused in the children's room (30 minutes before bedtime)
- For sensitive skin: Apply diluted for gentle care.
- For positive energy: Inhale or diffuse.
- In summer: Use in a diffuser for a fresh, sunny atmosphere.
Important note: Always dilute essential oils before topical application. Recommended dilution for adults: 2-3 drops to 1 tablespoon of carrier oil. For children 2 years and older: 1 drop to 1 tablespoon of carrier oil. For internal use, use only food-grade mandarin oil. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children. IMPORTANT: After topical application, avoid direct sunlight or UV light for 12-24 hours (photosensitive).
About mandarin orange (Citrus reticulata):
The mandarin orange is a subtropical citrus fruit originally from China and now cultivated worldwide in warm climates. The essential oil is extracted from the peel by cold pressing and contains valuable constituents such as limonene, gamma-terpinene, and myrcene. The name "mandarin" derives from the Chinese mandarins (officials) to whom this fruit was traditionally presented as a gift. Mandarin is known for its sweeter, milder fragrance compared to orange and its particularly gentle, calming properties. This makes mandarin one of the most popular essential oils for children and people with sensitive skin.
Perfect for:
- Children aged 2 and over (diluted)
- Calming relief from nervousness and restlessness
- Mood enhancer for low mood
- Gentle skincare for sensitive skin
- Sleep aid for children
- Positive energy and good mood
- Family Aromatherapy
- Support for general well-being (internal)
Aroma profile:
Mandarin has a sweet, fruity, citrusy scent with mild, gentle notes. The aroma is mood-lifting, calming, and friendly—sweeter and milder than orange. It blends beautifully with other citrus oils (orange, lemon, bergamot), lavender, Roman chamomile, ylang-ylang, sandalwood, and other soft oils.
Combination recommendations:
- For restless children: Mandarin + Lavender + Roman Chamomile
- For a good mood: Mandarin + Orange + Bergamot
- For sleep (children): Mandarin + Lavender + Cedarwood
- For sensitive skin: Mandarin + Lavender + Frankincense
- Summer freshness: Mandarin + Grapefruit + Spearmint
- For relaxation: Mandarin + Ylang Ylang + Sandalwood

- Effect: Mandarin is calming, orange is invigorating
- Skin compatibility: Mandarin is gentler on sensitive skin.

- Cheerful: Brings joy, lightness and positive energy
