Here's how to use your myrrh oil:

Meditation & Spiritual Practice: Add 3-5 drops to your diffuser during meditation, prayer, or yoga to create a deeply spiritual, grounding atmosphere. The rich sesquiterpenes in myrrh work directly on the seat of emotions in the brain, promoting emotional depth.

Skincare: Dilute 1-2 drops with a carrier oil (e.g., V-6™, jojoba oil, or rosehip oil) and apply the mixture to your face or mature skin. Myrrh was used in ancient Arabia for wrinkled and cracked skin and is particularly valuable for anti-aging and skin regeneration.

Oral care: Add 1-2 drops to your toothpaste or to a glass of water for rinsing. Myrrh is frequently used in oral care products today and supports healthy gums and fresh breath.

Aromatherapy: Inhale directly from the bottle or place 1-2 drops on a tissue for emotional grounding, spiritual upliftment and inner peace.

Massage: Dilute with a carrier oil and massage the mixture onto the neck, soles of the feet or heart area – ideal for a relaxing, spiritually grounding massage.

Chakra work: Apply diluted myrrh to the root chakra or crown chakra for spiritual grounding and opening.

Application tips:

  • For meditation: Apply in a diffuser or to wrists (diluted).
  • For spiritual practice: Diffuse during prayer or mindfulness exercises.
  • For the skin: Add to facial care products for an anti-aging effect.
  • For oral care: Add to toothpaste or mouthwash
  • For emotional stress: Inhale for a grounding, calming effect.
  • For chakra work: Apply diluted to the corresponding chakras.
  • For inner peace: Diffused before going to sleep

Important note: For external use only. Always dilute essential oils before topical application. Recommended dilution: 1-2 drops to 1 tablespoon of carrier oil. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children. Not suitable for pregnant women.

About myrrh (Commiphora myrrha):

Myrrh comes from the myrrh tree (Commiphora myrrha), a thorny shrub or small tree native to Somalia, Ethiopia, Yemen, and other regions of the Middle East. The essential oil is obtained by steam distillation from the resin that flows directly from the tree's bark. Myrrh is rich in sesquiterpenes—compounds that have a direct effect on the brain's emotional center (the limbic system) and are therefore particularly valuable for emotional and spiritual work. The resin was traded as a precious commodity in ancient times and was so valuable that it was weighed against gold.

Perfect for:

  • Meditation and spiritual practice
  • Prayer, yoga, and mindfulness exercises
  • Chakra work and energy work
  • Anti-aging and skin regeneration
  • Cracked, wrinkled, and mature skin
  • Oral hygiene and healthy gums
  • Emotional grounding and centering
  • Religious and spiritual ceremonies

Aroma profile:

Myrrh has a rich, smoky, balsamic fragrance with earthy, slightly bitter, and resinous notes. The aroma is purifying, restorative, and spiritually uplifting. It blends beautifully with frankincense, sandalwood, cedarwood, lavender, bergamot, patchouli, and other meditative or grounding oils.

Combination recommendations:

  • For meditation: Myrrh + Frankincense + Sandalwood
  • For skincare: Myrrh + Frankincense + Lavender + Wild Rose
  • For spiritual practice: Myrrh + Holy Frankincense + Cedarwood
  • For chakra work: Myrrh + Patchouli + Vetiver
  • For inner peace: Myrrh + Bergamot + Lavender
  • Biblical mixture: Myrrh + Frankincense + Rockrose
