Here's how to use your oregano oil:
In the diffuser: Add 2-4 drops to your diffuser (oregano is very intense, so use less) to create a cleansing, immune-boosting atmosphere – perfect during cold and flu season.
Massage: Dilute 1-2 drops with a carrier oil (e.g., V-6™ or coconut oil) and massage the mixture onto the soles of the feet – traditionally used to support the immune system. IMPORTANT: Oregano is a skin irritant and must be highly diluted (at least 1:4).
Aromatherapy: Inhale gently from the bottle (not too close) for emotional strengthening and immune support.
Culinary use: Add 1 drop to Mediterranean dishes, pizza, pasta, tomato sauce, or salad dressing for a savory oregano flavor. Use only food-grade oregano oil and sparingly!
Application tips:
- During flu season: Use a diffuser for a purifying atmosphere
- For the immune system: Apply diluted to the soles of the feet.
- In the kitchen: Add 1 drop to dishes (very sparingly)
- For cleaning: Add to cleaning products
- At the first signs: Take internally immediately.
Important information: Oregano is a very potent, skin-irritating oil. ALWAYS dilute heavily before topical application (at least 1:4 with a carrier oil). Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or children under 6 years of age. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and sensitive skin areas. Do not apply to broken or irritated skin. Keep out of reach of children. Perform a skin test on sensitive skin. May have a blood-thinning effect – do not use before surgery. For internal use, use only food-grade oregano oil.
About oregano (Origanum vulgare):
Oregano, also known as wild marjoram or oregano, is a perennial plant from the mint family (Lamiaceae) native to the Mediterranean region. The essential oil is extracted from the leaves and flowers through steam distillation and contains valuable constituents such as carvacrol (60-80%), thymol, and p-cymene. Oregano has been used traditionally for millennia – both as a spice in Mediterranean cuisine and in folk medicine for its powerful cleansing, immune-boosting, and antioxidant properties. The name "oregano" comes from the Greek "oros ganos" (ornament of the mountains). Oregano has one of the highest ORAC values (antioxidant capacity) of all essential oils.
Perfect for:
- Strengthening the immune system during cold season
- Support at the first signs of a cold
- Cleansing atmosphere during flu season
- Antioxidant support
- Culinary use in Mediterranean dishes
- Aromatherapy for emotional strengthening
