In India, vetiver is traditionally called the "oil of tranquility." The roots of Vetiveria zizanioides grow up to 3–4 meters deep into the earth – and this explains the exceptionally grounding effect of this oil. Essential Oil

Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides) – a perennial grass from India, Haiti, and other tropical regions, rich in Vetiverol, Khusimol, and beta-Vetivone. In aromatherapy, it is valued for its deeply grounding, calming, and sleep-promoting properties. Emotionally, Vetiver helps with stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm – it grounds, centers, and creates a feeling of security and inner peace.

Application Recommendations

For restful sleep: 4–6 drops in a diffuser approx. 30 minutes before bedtime, or apply 1–2 drops diluted to the soles of the feet – for deep, peaceful nights.
For ADHD & hyperactivity: Dilute 1–2 drops with a carrier oil and massage onto the soles of the feet, neck, or behind the ears – for calming and focusing.
Meditation & Grounding: 3–5 drops in a diffuser during meditation or yoga – creates a deeply grounding, centering atmosphere.
Aromatherapy: Inhale directly from the bottle or place 1–2 drops on a tissue – for emotional grounding and stress relief.
Massage: Diluted, massage onto the neck, soles of the feet, or the entire body – deeply relaxing and grounding.
As perfume: Apply diluted to pulse points – deep, smoky, earthy; especially valued as a base note in natural perfumes.
