Collection: Shungite - Shungite

Shungite is a deep black mineral found exclusively in the Russian region of Karelia, particularly around Lake Onega. With an estimated age of about 2 billion years, it is one of the oldest known minerals and contains natural carbon structures called fullerenes, which make it mineralogically special.

In our assortment, you will find shungite in various forms: as tumbled stones and palm stones, as water stones for making shungite water, as pendants, beads, and cabochons for jewelry, as well as pyramids, spheres, and rough stones. There are two main qualities: noble shungite with a carbon content of 90–98% and a shiny, silvery surface, and classic shungite with 30–50% carbon content and a matte, black surface.

In crystal healing, shungite is traditionally associated with protection, grounding, and purification. It is particularly known for its traditional use as a water stone and as protection against electromagnetic fields. These associations are based on anecdotal experience and have no scientifically proven effect.
